Full address: Camino de Vera s/n Edificio 9C. 46022-Valencia (Spain)

I am PhD in Industrial Engineering with Cum Laude mention (2010), Industrial Engineer graduated at the Polytechnical University of Valencia (UPV) in 1998. I obtained the University Orientation Course with honors and the Extraordinary High School Award of the Valencian Community in 1992.

I have worked as engineer in the company GTD Engineering of Systems and Industrial Software between 1996 and 1998. My main activities were finite element analysis of aerospace structures, stress engineering and thermo-mechanical analysis.

I began my research and teaching activities at the UPV in 2020. Currently, I am lecturer at the School of Industrial Engineering (UPV) since 2018, and member of the Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering. I obtained the Teaching Excellence Award from the UPV in 2003.

My research stays: (1) postdoctoral at the Multiscale group in Mechanical and Biological Engineering of the Institute of Engineering Research of Aragon (2014), (2) Sócrates-Erasmus, stay in the Laboratoire de Mécanique des Systèmes et des Procédés de la Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Arts et Métiers – ENSAM (Paris-France) in 2004.

The main research topics throughout I am developing my scientific career are: (1) structural integrity, (2) advanced mechanical design (composites), (3) numerical methods and (4) biomechanics (analysis of the mechanical behavior of bone tissue). As a result of my scientific activities I have published 17 peer-review scientific articles in high impact journals according to ISI-JCR (16 Q1, 1Q2). I am scientist reviewer in several relevant journals focused in numerical methods, fracture mechanics and biomechanics. I have presented more than fifty publications at scientist conferences where I have obtained several research awards.

I am member of the Spanish Research Network in Biomechanics, European Society of Biomechanics, the Spanish Society of Structural Integrity – Spanish Fracture Group (GEF) and founding member of the Institute of Mechanical and Biomechanical Engineering of Valencia (I2MB).

I have supervised 2 doctoral theses (1 more in progress) and more than sixty final degree and master projects.

I have participated in 20 research projects, being principal investigator in 3 competitive projects in National Plan (DPI2017-89197-C2-2-R-AR, DPI2017-90572-REDT, DPI2013-46641-R) and in 1 regional project (FDEGENT/2018/026). I have also participated as expertise in 1 contract with companies.

Finally, I hold the position of Secretary of the Institute of Mechanical and Biomechanical Engineering of Valencia since 2020 and scientist supervisor of the Research National Agency for more than 2 years.
