Andrea Cereatti: Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of ROMA TRE, 110/110 cum laude, (2003). PhD in Bioengineering from the University of Bologna (2006). From 2008 to 2012 assistant professor at the Medical School of the University of Sassari and since 2012 assistant professor at the POLCOMING Department of the University of Sassari. From October 2004 to October 2005, research assistant at the Department of Kinesiology, Pennsylvania State University. Holder at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Sassari for the following courses: Bioengineering – Biomechanics – Processing of Biomedical Data and Signals – Electronic Equipment – Special electrophysiological investigations – Electromyographic Recording Techniques – Biomedical Instrumentation. Winner of the Italian National Bioengineering PhD thesis award “Alberto Mazzoldi” (2007) and “Best methodological paper” at the XIV Siamoc conference (2013). From 2009 to 2013, elected executive council member of the Italian Society of Clinical Movement Analysis (SIAMOC). Reviewer for the following international scientific journals: Journal of Biomechanics, Computer Methods and Program in Biomedicine, Journal of Applied Biomechanics, Clinical Biomechanics, Gait & Posture, Journal of NeuroEngineering and Rehabilitation, Medical & Biological Engineering & Computing, Computer Methods in Biomechanics and Biomedical Engineering, Journal of Biomechanical Engineering, Journal of Engineering in Medicine, Journal of translational engineering in health and medicine. Inventor of a patent entitled “A device for measuring the knee angular displecements” (2011). Main research interests on methods for joint kinematics estimates, on biomechanics of human joints and on wearable sensors.
