Fabrizio Pecoraro

Degree in Computer Engineering in Rome and Philosophy Doctorate in Bioengineering at the University of Bologna. He conducts his doctorate research at the Department of Human Movement and Sport Sciences of the University of Rome “Foro Italico”. In addition, during his Ph.D. studentship Dr. Pecoraro held the position of assistant researcher at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland. His main activities during this period have focused on the mechanics of the upper part of the body during locomotion. Since 2007 he works as a researcher at the National Research Council – Institute of Research on Population and Social Studies, Rome Italy – where his research activities are included in the medical informatics field and mostly focus on the following aspects: business process analysis, development of conceptual models based on standard of clinical data such as HL7 and CDISC, design and development of clinical information systems, definition of relational databases and clinical data warehouse architectures.
