Giuseppe Vannozzi: is Associate Professor in Bioengineering at the University of Rome “Foro Italico”. He is also Research Associate at IRCSS Santa Lucia Foundation – Neuroscience and Rehabilitation. Fellow of the Interuniversity Centre of Bioengineering of the Human Neuromusculoskeletal System from its foundation. Faculty Member of B.Sc. and M.Sc. courses in the field of Movement and Sport Sciences and for the PhD. in Human Movement and Sport Sciences. He received his Master degree in Computer Engineering, “Sapienza” University of Rome (Italy), and Doctoral degree in Bioengineering, University of Bologna (Italy). His research area is focused on Human Movement Biomechanics, with emphasis on both the methodological aspect and its application in clinical and sport environments. His main contributions are: i) wearable inertial sensors: methodological issues and applications in clinical gait analysis and sport perfomance; ii) neuromechanics of human movement; iii) physical activity assessment and motor development; iv) data mining techniques in human movement biomechanics. Giuseppe Vannozzi has been involved, either as coordinator or as participant, in international EU and National projects. He has published about 100 papers including national and international articles in peer-reviewed journals, books and book chapters. Currently, he is Editorial Board Member of the following journals: i) Sensors MDPI; ii) Applied Bionics and Biomechanics; iii) Frontiers in Sports and Active Living; iv) Biomedical Human Kinetics; v) Biomechanics MDPI. He is member of several scientific societies and Past Member of the Board of Directors of the Italian Society for Movement Analysis in Clinics (SIAMOC).
