Imma Ceriello was born in Avellino, Italy, in 1995. She has an academic background in Bioengineering with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Naples Federico II with 110/110 cum laude (2019) and a Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Engineering and Biomaterials at the University of Genoa with 110/110 cum laude (2021). She also has a 2nd Level Professional Master’s program in Research in Movement Sciences (MRMS) at the University of Verona. During those years, she collaborated with the University of Genoa and the Unipolar Spinal Unit of the Santa Corona Hospital in Pietra Ligure (SV) to study movements and muscle activities during standing and wheelchair archery. Since November 2022, she has been starting her Ph.D. in Human Movement and Sport Sciences at the University of Rome “Foro Italico” under the supervision of Prof. Andrea Macaluso and Prof. Valentina Camomilla. She is currently involved in her research project entitled “Neuromuscular Mechanisms Underlying Motor Coordination in Older Adults during Dynamic Balance Control”.
