Maurizio Schmid received a MSc degree in Electrical Engineering (Sapienza University of Rome) and a PhD in Bioengineering (University of Bologna). He is now an assistant professor in Bioengineering at the Department of Engineering, Roma Tre University, Rome, Italy. His research work is in the field of biomedical signal processing and classification for applications related to human movement science at large. Since 2009 he has been in the board of professors of the PhD programme in in Psychology and Cognitive Science (Sapienza University of Rome), and in 2013 he joined the board of professors of the PhD programme in Applied Electronics (Roma Tre University). Reviewer in many journals in the area of biomedical engineering, he has authored or co-authored around thirty journal papers in the last ten years. He is an IEEE, EMBS, and GNB member.
